The name Katherine Rally comes from its two designers / creators, Katherine and Rally Dupps. Kathy, Rally and their two small children decided to hit the road when the economy bit the dust and relocated to the island paradise of Bali, Indonesia. Surrounded by stunning beauty, they created their own line of batiks inspired by their love of travel, textiles and design. Rally is an architect originally from Nashville and Kathy is an interior designer born and raised in the desert of Arizona. The Duppses met in 2002 and decided to test their compatibility with a backpacking trip through Southeast Asia The trip proved successful and when Rally proposed, they both thought 6 weeks in India sounded way more interesting than a diamond ring. They have since explored the spectacular mud brick buildings of Yemen and relaxed for some high tea in Sri Lanka. When Kathy and Rally are in the United States, they call a Victorian built in 1893 their home just outside Aspen, Colorado.
